Portable healing device, ACE3000
June 1, 2007
I was browsing today’s The Star and stumble upon this ad in the Father’s Day Special pull out that promotes an electronic device called ACE3000 that claims to promotes effective treatment for Arthritis, Rheumatoid, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, Gout, tension, sport’s injuries, muscle and neck pain; to sum them all, anything related to muscle and joints pain. I read with great interest as my mom was suffering with joint pains for years. Acupunture treatments doesn’t goes very well with her and she felt that the pain was unbearable (according to the acupunture practitioner, pain is caused by bad joints). She’s quite reluctant towards the treatment now and I can only get her Donna’s joint’s treatment capsule that she takes till today.
So I dig more details about this new device that I just read. Their website is completely mediocre, if you don’t believe me, do check it out yourself. It looked so 1993 but well, I’m not here to critic how bad their website is but I’m rather more interested in the device itself. The price of this device was stated in the website for USD800, that’s pretty steep for such a small device. Here’s what it looked like:

The ACE3000 is currently distributed by a local health and beauty supplier called Time Avenue Sdn Bhd, they even setup an informational website about the product itself. Currently, the device is selling for USD750 (Normal Price: USD800) inclusive of delivery within Malaysia. Do check out the product if you’re interested. It certainly looks like something my mom can make use of. Consideration? Steep price and the real effectiveness of the product. Keep me posted if anyone does try the product.

Uncommon magic at 13:40 hour: Thinking of my mom and the pain she’s enduring all these years, it make me feel bad.

I had a look at the site too and the device is ’snake oil’. Save your money please.
Take your mom to a doctor for a proper examination and diagnosis.
In the interim, I would suggest giving her the Donna capsules 2 caps 3 times a day and also a good quality Omega3 fish oil at 2,000mg 3 times a day after food. Beware of cheap fish oil as they contain traces of heavy metals like mercury. I recommend shaklee, nordic and usana as the brands to trust.

Treatments for rheumatic diseases include rest and relaxation, exercise, proper diet, medication, and instruction about the proper use of joints and ways to conserve energy. The doctor and the patient work together to develop a treatment plan, which usually combines several types of treatment. And i found a site which has a great information about arthritis treatment. That’s so absolutely neat! that’s the coolest thing i saw all day!
